As a fun project, I decided to build a 3D printer using the Voron 0.1 design. This allowed me to have a deeper understanding of FFF 3D printer construction, and pushed me to learn more about Linux, Klipper, Mainsail, and open source 3D printing software.
A dropper seatpost allows a mountain bike rider to lower their seat while riding, enabling them to ride rough terrain better while standing up. These seatposts need a lever to pull a cable and actuate the seatpost. During supply chain shortages the only levers I could find were very expensive, so I decided to design and 3D print my own.
The result was a lever that I ended up using for several seasons, and have not replaced since nothing has gone wrong with it.
