High School Robotics:

In High School I was on a FIRST Robotics Competition team. In this competition, teams are given a short 6-8 week build season to design and build a robot that can complete a set of tasks when playing in a short match with and against other teams' robots. 

I was also on a Vex Robotics Competition team throughout High School. This competition is similar to FIRST, but instead of a short build season, the season is year around with the new game being released at the end of the world championship of the previous season. This year around builds season combined with a modular set of parts shifts the focus from robot construction to programming, tuning, practice, and optimization at high levels of play.
