The Morton House Museum is a historic house in the Benton Harbor area. I was made aware that they had a room that was just being used for storage, which they wished to turn into a research room where historical documents could be stored and anyone who wished could come in and utilize these documents.
For my Eagle Scout service project, I raised funds, sourced material, and built a workspace, some cabinetry, and a bookshelf that would allow the room to be usable for storage and research.
While at Michigan Tech, I joined an organization called Engineering Ambassadors which aims to change the conversation about STEM by showing students that STEM topics can be fun and interesting.Â
As part of this club, I worked with other Ambassadors to create activities and presentations for K-12 students that would fun and educational, encouraging students to consider pursuing STEM careers.
Throughout my time in this organization, I made and gave presentations on DC motors, collisions/impact, flight/aircraft, and projectile motion.
